China, Brunei lift ties to strategic cooperative partnership

China and Brunei agreed to upgrade their relations to a strategic cooperative partnership. The consensus was reached during talks between visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping and Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
