Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources confirmed that it will implement a program planning to upgrade the National Tennis Center and its supporting facilities on Saturday.
Located in Beijing Olympic Forest Park, the National Tennis Center covers an area of 16.68 hectares, including 30 pieces of international standard competition venues. It was constructed for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and now it hosts China Open regularly.
According to the landscape analysis diagram of the program planning, the northwest corner of the planning area is the subway entrance and exit, and the west square will be equipped with waterscape. The supporting comprehensive service building on the south side will create a roof garden and other surrounding landscape.
In addition, the South Square will be equipped with dry spray landscape, and tree array square will be added to the east and west sides of the square.
The VIP axis will be set between the South Square and the supporting comprehensive service building, and the landscape corridor will be set in the southeast corner.
