Hong Kong reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, with three of the local cases identified under the Universal Community Testing Program (UCTP).
The new cases included eight imported and 11 local ones, bringing the tally of confirmed cases to 4,957, Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported at a press briefing on Sunday afternoon.
Among the local cases, eight were related to previously confirmed cases, and the infection sources of the other three remained unknown, said Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the CHP's Communicable Disease Branch.
There were more than 10 preliminary positive cases reported on Sunday, she added.
According to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority, 181 patients are still hospitalized, including 21 in critical condition.
The number of deaths related to COVID-19 stood at 100.
As of Sunday morning, more than 1.67 million samples had been collected under the UCTP which was launched on Sept. 1.
