The health ministry in eSwatini has reported the first confirmed case of COVID-19.
According to the press release on Saturday, the patient is a 33-year-old woman. She returned from the United States at the end of last month and then proceeded for a business meeting in Lesotho. She came back on March 7 and later saw a private practitioner who took samples for lab testing on March 11. The test results were positive in a South African laboratory.
The patient is stable and has been taken for isolation and monitoring.
