Special: Battle Against Novel Coronavirus

East China's Zhejiang provincial government announced Monday that Zhejiang will take all necessary measures to care for frontline medical workers and their families in the province and those who assist in the fight against the novel coronavirus in the hardest-stricken Hubei Province.

A slew of measures will be taken to support medical workers with their commute, health care and education, facilitate their access to daily necessities and provide psychological consulting for those in need.

Hospitals that receive infected patients are required to stagger the shifts of staff and carry out mandatory rest timetable to reduce the pressure and workload of medical workers.

A total of 120 million yuan (around 17.1 million U.S. dollars) has been granted in the province to frontline workers as subsidies and 191,000 medical workers have been offered insurance.

So far, the province has sent 1,707 medics to Hubei to support the fight against the coronavirus.
