Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's action film "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" topped the Chinese mainland box office on Sunday, the China Movie Data Information Network said Monday.
The film pulled in around 111.19 million yuan (about 16.1 million U.S. dollars) on the day and grossed more than 477 million yuan in three days since its debut on the mainland.
It was followed by Japanese animation "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon Exploration," the last Doraemon feature film that brought in around 22.77 million yuan.
Coming in the third was Disney's live-action "Aladdin," which earned around 22.32 million yuan.
