A company has cut ticket prices for owners of domestically made mobile phones when they visit its scenic spots in Wuyuan county, East China's Jiangxi province, an area known for its stunning countryside scenery.

Jiangxi Wuyuan Tourism Co Ltd made the policy public on Wednesday, and starting from Wednesday to Jan 2, visitors could buy tickets at half price whenever they show their domestically made mobile phones, one ticket per device.

General tickets are priced at 210 yuan ($30.45), while half-price tickets cost only 105 yuan. Visitors can use the ticket for unlimited entry to 12 scenic spots within a five-day period.

Previously, other scenic areas have offered preferential policies for visitors with domestically made phones.

On Dec 15, Shennongshan Mountain scenic area in Central China's Henan province said visitors taking Huawei mobile phones can buy tickets at half price, the first such policy for owners of domestically made phones. The policy will last from Dec 16 to 29.

On Dec 17, Kongshan Baiyundong scenic area in North China's Hebei province said that owners of Huawei mobile phones can visit the area for free from Dec 18 to 23. A ticket there usually sells for 100 yuan.

Qingyuan Gulongxia scenic area in South China's Guangdong province said that from Dec 13 to 19, owners of Huawei mobile phones can buy tickets, which normally cost 138 yuan, at half price.
