China parades armaments for war anniversary

Twenty-seven armament formations started passing through Tian' anmen Square in central Beijing Thursday morning, culminating China's massive military parade commemorating the end of World War II. [Special coverage]

The parade, which involved 12,000 Chinese soldiers and 500 pieces of equipment, marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
