Forums held on defense technology, navy equipment development

The 9th Forefront Forum on National Defense Technology and the 4th Forefront Forum on Navy Equipment Development was recently held in Beijing.

The two forums were jointly sponsored by the equipment research institutes of the Navy, the Air Force and the Second Artillery Force (SAF), the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), and the Demonstration Center under the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA.

During the forum, participants exchanged the research achievements and breakthroughs in the development and construction of weapons and equipment in recent years.

Theses academic exchanges focused on the characteristics of the new military transformation and involved multiple aspects including technologies, research on basic theories, development trends of technologies and their specific applications.

More than 400 people from the leading organs of the PLA , military and civilian higher learning and research institutions as well as national defense industrial departments participated in the symposium.
