PLA Hong Kong Garrison completes 17th rotation

Some organic units of the Army, Navy and Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) garrisoning in Hong Kong completed the 17th regular rotation on November 25, 2014. After the rotation, the number of personnel and equipment of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison will remain unchanged.

This rotation is carried out according to the provision that "the PLA Hong Kong Garrison shall practice a system of rotation of its members" in the Law of the People's Republic of China on Garrisoning the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the order of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

The PLA Army, Navy and Air Force troops to enter Hong Kong this time have received strict training in the mainland, acquired military skills and understood the basic situation and relevant laws in Hong Kong.

The officers and men entered Hong Kong this time vowed to strictly observe the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Garrisoning the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. They are committed to making positive contributions to safeguarding the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.
