The "Joint Operation 2014E" actual-troop military exercise was concluded at the Taonan training base of the Shenyang Military Area Command (MAC) under the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) on October 28, 2014. So far, all the seven joint actual-troop exercises of the PLA in this year have come to an end.

The PLA has organized the "Joint Operation 2014" series of large-scale actual-troop exercises in a number of regions and waters in China by direction and in stages from May to the end of October this year, according to sources.

This series of exercises are the annual routine exercises that have been included in the PLA's 2014 general plan on military training. The participating forces included the troop units of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Second Artillery Force, the militia and reserve forces of the PLA, as well as some support and guarantee forces for strategic and battle purposes.

In addition to the warplanes, armed helicopters and warships of various types, the civil aviation, local combat readiness transport teams, and the national defense mobilization system also participated in the joint drills of some subjects.

The "Joint Operation 2014" series of exercises have been the largest joint actual-troop exercises since the PLA entered the new century, whose long duration, complete battle elements, large number of participating troops, complicated drill contents, extensive research issues, and intensive actual-troop confrontation have been rare in recent years, according to sources.
