Chief of Singaporean Navy visits South China Sea Fleet

Rear Admiral Lai Chung Han, chief of Singaporean Navy, and his delegation visited the South China Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) on the afternoon of September 1, 2014, and held talks with Jiang Weilie, deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA and commander of the South China Sea Fleet of the PLAN.

The two sides had in-depth discussions on enhancing mutual trust and reciprocal visits and strengthening exchanges and cooperation after Jiang Weilie accompanied Lai Chung Han to inspect the guard of honor.

During the visit, Lai Chung Han and his delegation also visited the new-type guided missile destroyer "Guangzhou" and the guided missile frigate "Yulin".
