In China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, troops from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and China have assembled and geared up for the Peace Mission-2014 drill.

Four Russian military jets and two transport aircraft, along with more than 100 soldiers, arrived at the Zhu-ri-he Airport this morning. Russia is sending 900 troops and 100 pieces of weaponry. All 2200 foreign troops have arrived. The six-day drill will start at the Zhu-ri-he training base next Sunday, and mobilize over 7,000 soldiers from the five countries.

It's part of joint anti-terrorism exercises launched under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization framework. Uzbekistan is the only SCO member not participating.
