The Conscription Office of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) of China recently issued an urgent notice, demanding to fight against misconduct and corruption in the process of conscription.
According to the notice, the accountability system for health examination should be strictly implemented, the health examination for conscription must be carried out in designated hospitals or health check organizations, and the special seal for health examination must be kept by special personnel.
The notice also pledged to strictly implement the rules on political examination, prevent and root out the falsification of age and educational background.
The notice also demanded the discipline inspection departments at all levels to carry out inspection tours during the conscription period, discover problems timely and give full play to public supervision. Once problems are reported and clues are identified, thorough investigation will be conducted.
It is learnt that the MND Conscription Office and the Discipline Inspection Department of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) will soon form a special conscription work team to make secret inspections on the implementation of various rules on clean conscription.
