The six-day-long "Aviadarts 2014" International Pilot Competition came to an end in Russia on July 28, 2014.

The "Aviadarts 2014" International Pilot Competition entered the last day on July 27, 2014, local time, when the aviation element of the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAAF) and pilots from other countries competed in real-combat air-to-ground attack at the aviation shooting range in Bogenuowo.

Lieutenant General Bondarev, commander of the Russian Air Force, and Major General Li Chunchao, deputy chief of staff of the PLAAF, observed the competition at site.

A number of Su-30 pilots of the PLAAF have participated in a series of competition subjects since the "Aviadarts 2014" kicked off on July 22, including air navigation skills, air visual reconnaissance, single- or two-plane aerobatic flight, air-to-ground attack, physical fitness test and so forth. They have launched 24 rocket projectiles and 60 shots of aircraft cannon.

Strengthening exchange and cooperation with the air forces of various participating countries in military training field is not only the intention of the Russian Air Force to organize the "Aviadarts 2014" International Pilot Competition, but also the purpose of the PLAAF to participate in it.

The PLAAF's participation in the "Aviadarts 2014" International Pilot Competition in Russia reflects the strategic mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation between the Chinese and Russian militaries. It not only enhanced the experience exchange between the PLAAF and other participating air forces, but also provided an important platform to learn from the air forces of world powers, said Yu Hejie, commander of the aviation element of the PLAAF.

Yu Hejie also noted that the PLAAF has carried out a series of joint exercises, trainings and military exchanges with foreign air forces in recent years.
