Turkish navy commander visits North China Sea Fleet

Adm. Bülent Bostanoğlu, commander of the Turkish Navy, and his party totaling five persons visited the North China Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) from July 8 to 9, 2014.

Yuan Yubai, deputy commander of the Jinan Military Area Command (MAC) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and commander of the North China Sea Fleet of the PLAN, held a welcome ceremony for Bostanoğlu and briefly introduced the basic situation of the North China Sea Fleet at the Headquarters of the fleet.

After that, the two sides talked about the traditional friendship between China and Turkey and reviewed the friendly relations as well as the exchanges and cooperation between the two navies of the two countries in recent years.

During its visit, the Turkish delegation successively visited the new-type guided missile frigate "Weifang" and a type of submarine of the PLA Navy and listened to the brief introductions on equipment performance, missions and tasks, personnel and equipment systems of these warships.

Bostanoğlu said that he has felt the high morale and self-confidence of the officers and men of the PLA Navy and expressed that his visit is very successful.
