Chinese envoy to attend French WWI memorial

Chinese envoy Li Zhaoxing will attend an event to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I in France on July 14, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei announced on Tuesday.

Li, the former Chinese Foreign Minister, will attend at the invitation of French President Francois Hollande, Hong said at a daily news briefing.
