Chinese naval escort ship carries out replenishment in Djibouti

The guided missile destroyer "Changchun" of the 17th escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army docked at a pier of the Djibouti Port of the Republic of Djibouti on the morning of June 30, 2014, local time, for the five-day-long replenishment and rest.

Staff members of the Chinese Embassy in Djibouti and representatives from the China-funded institutions in Djibouti came to the pier to welcome the 17th taskforce and boarded the warship for a visit.

During the replenishment and rest at the port, the 17th taskforce will carry out equipment examination and repair as well as logistics replenishment, and hold various kinds of cultural activities. They will successively visit some tourist attractions and learn about the local history and culture as well as the customs and practices.
