The 15th Chinese navy escort fleet on Sunday left Mombasa port after 4-day friendly visit to Kenya.

The fleet which is composed of Jinggangshan landing platform dock and frigate Henshui received warm welcome during the visit in Kenya. The commander of the fleet, RADM Jiang Zhonghua met with the Kenyan navy commander Ngewa Mukala and visited the base of Kenyan navy.

Officers and sailors from China shared experiences of equipment maintenance with Kenyan navy and provided training courses. The fleet also held a deck reception in the Jinggangshan warship. Nearly 1,000 people visited two ships on board.

The visit is the second to Kenya since China's navy hospital ship Peace Ark in October 2010.

The fleet will also make a friendly visit to Sri Lanka.
