Chinese naval drills in W. Pacific routine work

The remark was given in response to a Japanese report that a fleet of Chinese naval ships had passed waters off Yonaguni Island and Iriomote Island in early December.

The Ministry says each country enjoys the freedom of navigation in the western Pacific Ocean.

China will continue to carry out sea training in the western Pacific Ocean. China hopes countries in the region will respect Chinese naval forces' freedom of navigation.
