(W.E. Talk) Japanese PM Takaichi's wrong remarks on Taiwan 'dangerously divisive': David Gosset

David Gosset, an expert in global affairs and sinology, and founder of the China-Europe-America Global Initiative said during an interview on the "W.E. Talk" program that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s inappropriate remarks on Taiwan have “clearly undermined the long-accumulated trust between China and Japan."

He emphasized that trust between China and Japan is "very fragile," and that by using the dangerous rhetoric of "survival-threatening situation", which links to Japan’s interference in China in the 1930s, Takaichi’s statements are "dangerously divisive" and risk evoking "very bad memories from the past."
