(ECNS) -- In the Hubei Provincial Museum in central China, there's an impressive artefact that's over 2,000 years old -- the Bianzhong of Marquis Yi of Zeng, the largest and most well-preserved set of bronze bells in the world!

This bell set is arranged on a three-tier frame, comprising a total of 65 bronze bells organized into different groups. It bears inscriptions totaling 3,755 characters, representing the only known musical theory documents of the 5th century BC with such a scale. Hence, it is dubbed the world's first "sound-producing music textbook."

Today, digital technologies have allowed the ancient Bianzhong music to traverse time and space. In the Hubei Provincial Museum, visitors can gain an immersive VR experience of the remarkable Bianzhong of Marquis Yi of Zeng which has recently been added to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
