The 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) is taking place in Belém, Brazil, from November 6 to 21, 2025.

"China is offering the world, especially developing countries, more options and greater autonomy in energy choices," said Wang Binbin, founding director of the Climate Future Global Innovation Lab at Peking University's Institute of Carbon Neutrality and a Yale World Fellow, in an interview with China News Network's "W.E. Talk."

Wang noted that China is advancing green innovation across the transportation sector, from new-energy vehicles to experimental electric aircraft. The country's rapid expansion of renewable energy, she said, is helping the world move away from traditional, single-source fossil energy systems. (Lin Zhuowei, Xue Lingqiao)
