'No surprise' Chinese products go global: German scholar
During the Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2025, Daniel Liebau, a lecturer at ESSEC Business School, noticed a wireless microphone used by a China News Service reporter in Beijing, capital of China, on Wednesday. "I do have this microphone as well," the German scholar remarked upon seeing the reporter's China-made microphone, praising its excellent quality and adding that its global popularity was entirely predictable.
When discussing the appeal of Chinese products, he added that the country's technological progress has been rapid over the past two decades, with strong competitiveness seen in everything from everyday items to industrial goods.
The Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2025 is taking place in downtown Beijing from Oct. 27 to 30, with eminent guests participating in heated discussions on a broad range of topics, including global economic development trends, financial governance, fintech, green innovation, and risk control and supervision.
