China Q&A | Brazilian scholar:How will 15th Five-Year Plan inject more momentum into China's economy?

China is on the verge of accomplishing the major objectives and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan, as stated at the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Brazilian scholar Jose Renato Peneluppi Jr. has asked about what major development achievements China has made during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) and how the 15th Five-Year Plan will chart the course for the next five years.

In response, Jiang Ruiping, professor and Ph.D. Supervisor in China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), and also former Vice President of CFAU, shared his insights. 

Jiang believed that China will work faster to foster a new pattern of development, and promote the effective upgrade of economic quality and reasonable growth of quantity during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).

China will, with its firm commitment to opening up, continue to instill greater confidence into global economic development, stated Jiang. (Gan Tian)
