Immersive night journey: Exploring Beijing Chaoyang international light festival

Liu Zhengxi, an international expert from Egypt at the China International Communications Group, recently explored the Beijing's most cutting-edge night attractions as the 2025 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival kicked off.　

Beijing's Shell Theater, the city's first open-air performance space over water, dazzles with a dynamic interplay of light and water. Nearby, a floating stage features a Dutch artist's renditions of Mozart and Puccini arias. The surrounding area complements the scene with installations drawing inspiration from Pop Mart, while the nearby Olympic Forest Park hosts a lively food festival where visitors can enjoy local snacks amid music and vibrant lights.　

This year's event is themed around togetherness and will run through the end of October. The Liangma River Cultural and Economic Belt and Beijing Olympic Center serve as the two core venues.The festivities feature nearly 400 cultural, commercial, tourism, and sports events, including tech-integrated projects like a light show parade and illuminated water tours.
