(W.E. Talk) Filipino scholar calls for consultation and cooperation on South China Sea issue

“The only way to peacefully resolve conflict between the Philippines and China in the South China Sea is through serious, direct negotiation and consultation,” said Rommel Banlaoi, president of the Philippine Society for International Security Studies. 

In an exclusive interview with China News Network, Banlaoi added that relevant parties should exercise self-restraint and strengthen cooperation to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea.
