On the banks of Poyang Lake, a total of more than 2,000 herons were seen in Dazizui Village, east China's Jiangxi Province. The herons danced and flew gracefully, busy carrying branches to build their nests, preparing to breed.

In the forest of Dazizui Village, the top of the tree, which has not yet grown its branches and leaves, was already crowded with nests of herons. It's common to encounter more than a dozen bird nests on a single tree.

Herons have been flying to Dazizui Village, a core area in Poyang Lake, every year to breed since the 1990s. Local villagers considered the elegant bird an "auspicious bird" that could bring good luck and fortune to the village.
