China plays important role in global energy transition: OGCI chair

Bjorn Otto Sverdrup, chair of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) said that China plays a very important role in the broader transformation of the economy and the energy transformation when he was interviewed by the China News Service in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on Monday local time. 　

China is already a global leader in solar power, wind power, and new energy vehicle. At the same time, China is also leading the world in digitization and the use of big data to improve energy efficiency, said Bjorn Otto Sverdrup. 　

As China makes its energy transition, it also helps the rest of the world reduce costs and lead the energy transition, Bjorn Otto Sverdrup added.
