Rare aurora paints sky over China's northernmost city

Mesmerizing green and red auroras graced the skies over China's northernmost city of Mohe　in Heilongjiang Province on Friday night, putting on a dazzling celestial display. 　

Observing green auroras in China is a rare treat. Local residents and tourists embraced the cold　and seized the opportunity to capture the breathtaking scenes. 　

According to China Meteorological Administration, the appearance of the aurora was caused by a geomagnetic storm.
