Chongqing sees strong tourism rebounds during Spring Festival holiday

It is reported that 120 A-level scenic spots in southwest China's Chongqing received more than 4.17 million visits during the Spring Festival holiday as of Jan. 27.

Popular scenic spots such as Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and Hongyadong attracted many tourists and citizens. The average daily flow of people in the Jiefangbei Central Business District reached 518,000.

Driven by the surrounding scenic spots, restaurants in Chongqing were also popular during the Spring Festival holiday, especially hot pot restaurants.

Li Shujian, the person in charge of a hot pot restaurant near Hongyadong, said that during the Spring Festival holiday, more people came to eat hot pot. The three directly operated hot pot restaurants received more than 20,000 tables.
