Video captures terrifying moments when earthquake hits SW China's Sichuan

(ECNS) -- A video captured the terrifying moment when a huge rock fell off a mountain after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit southwest China's Sichuan.

A driving recorder shows the heart-breaking moment when the strong quake happened.

The strong quake has caused landslides that damaged homes, caused power interruptions and stranded people.

Rescuers used ladders, ropes and cranes to move trapped residents to safety. Firefighters carried the trapped people and climbed the mountain near the epicenter areas.

Rescuers are still scouring through rubble for missing people in quake-hit areas.
