(ECNS) -- Traditional Chinese painting originated in the Han Dynasty (202 B.C.-220 A.D.). It is usually painted on silk or paper with a brush dipped in watercolor and ink.

Landscape art is an important part of Chinese painting.

A Chinese saying goes "The wise enjoy mountains while the benevolent appreciate water."

Artists and literati leave their feelings in the scenery of mountains and rivers and integrate their emotions into the natural beauty through artistic means.

There are different schools of Chinese landscape painting. It can be divided into blue-green, golden-green, and black-white styles, etc.

The painting of Wang Ximeng's "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" is a classic blue-green style landscape of the Song Dynasty (960-1279). He was only 18 when he created this painting. His youthful spirit is fully shown in the work. The 11.2-meter-long painting was created on a whole piece of silk.

Wang's painting is considered an artwork bearing the ambitions of the young, while the work "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" is full of insights the painter had accumulated during his later years.

The painter Huang Gongwang had been through ups and downs and collected the changes in life and nature within his strokes.

It took him seven years to finish the painting.

The long river flows through shallows, by riptides and peaks until the end of the painting, just like the journey of life.

Chinese landscape painting is like a magnificent symphony composed of ink and wash.

Behold a high mountain with awe and paint all the beautiful mountains and rivers of China with strokes.
