(ECNS) -- Artworks featuring vivid animals, picturesque Chinese paintings, and beautiful calligraphy are attracting many visitors to the Hunan Embroidery Museum in Central China's Hunan Province on Tuesday.

The works are called Hunan Embroidery, or Xiang Embroidery.

A group of Pakistani students learned how to use a needle to create a life-like picture on a piece of satin cloth here.

With a history of more than 2,000 years, Hunan embroidery is one of the four famous embroidery styles in China. It features rich colors and layers, and is known for its picturesqueness.

Umair Khan, a young Pakistani man who came to central China's Hunan Province to study in 2017, is very interested in Hunan embroidery.

He says he has loved China since he was a child and looked forward to learning the ancient practice of traditional Chinese medicine.

The opportunity to experience China's intangible cultural heritage at the Hunan Embroidery Museum gave him a new understanding of Chinese culture, he said.

He also said he would like to stay at the museum for a week to learn more Hunan embroidery skills while enjoying the works of masters.

Khan embroidered a lobster and said he would keep the work, share it with his friends, and let more people enjoy the charm of Chinese culture.
