4,000 ha of cotton harvested in Turpan Depression

(ECNS) -- Cotton has entered harvest season, creating a magnificent "sea of white flowers" in Kümüx Town, Toksun County, Turpan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Harvest machines will clear 4,000 ha by the end of this month.

Kümüx Town has mechanized all cotton cultivation and harvesting, with unmanned seeding technology supported by the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and plant protection drone application.

Cotton growers are now more confident in planting this crop. Their lives have been significantly improved.

In 2021, Toksun County grew about 5,300 ha of cotton.
