(ECNS) -- The first Panjiayuan intangible cultural heritage festival was held in Beijing on Thursday.

More than 30 inheritors gathered here to show their crafts.

Shuang Yan, an inheritor of Lord Rabbit figurine, said he came here with his son in order to popularize the history and culture of the figurine.

He also said he will give lectures about the figurine in Beijing's schools, universities and communities.

"The intangible cultural heritage festival is a start. We hope to build a platform for the inheritors and enable more people to learn about, love and protect our intangible cultural heritage," said Lu Changhai, chairman of the board of Beijing Panjiayuan Flea Market company.
