(ECNS) -- Shu Qiuhong, born after 1995 in Guizhou Province, started her business in Jinan, Shandong Province, to promote Hanfu, a historical style of clothing worn by the Han people in China.

Shu went to north China to study in 2015 and was deeply attracted by Hanfu. Later she began her Hanfu career.

She joined in a Hanfu club when she was at college and was amazed at this kind of clothing which shows girls' distinctive qualities such as classical beauty to the fullest. After she bought a set of Hanfu, she began to learn how to match the clothing with headdresses.

She looked up some historical documents and consulted experts.

According to Shu, ornaments and clothing of each dynasty are distinctive.

When she immerses herself in researching the outfits of a certain dynasty, she often feels she is living in that dynasty.

"Women in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) usually wore mili, a hat with a long veil used as a sunshade or covering. Documents about this outfit is less and there are no unearthed cultural relics to prove it so it is controversial. Many young girls like it because it fully displays girls' beauty," she said.

She quit her job as a teacher and started her business in 2019. Now she is quite popular in the Hanfu circle in Jinan. In addition to Hanfu rentals and sales, makeup, headdresses making, she often organizes Hanfu patrols.

She believes there will be more Hanfu lovers and people will further deepen their identification with this traditional Chinese costume.
