(ECNS) -- A 10-day 2021 car exhibition will be held in Shanghai from April 19 - 28. Automobiles equipped with cutting-edge technologies made their debut at Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, among which Arcfox Alpha S with Huawei Inside came under the public spotlight.

Arcfox Alpha S unveiled by Huawei is the first vehicle of mass production fitted with Huawei's HarmonyOS operating system and its high level Autonomous Driving System (ADS).

"Huawei has provided vehicle support in terms of intelligent Internet connection, intelligent driving, intelligent electrical power and intelligent cabinets. For example, we have achieved an integrated sense of multi sensors. We also used our HD camera, brand-new millimeter-wave radar and Huawei's lidar. The lidar is also the world's first 96-line commercial radar for vehicle use," said a display counter expert of Huawei.

Utilizing three 96-line lidars specialized for vehicles, the vehicle can accurately identify and obtain obstacle information in various travel scenarios, reaching Huawei's highest level of automatic driving. There are three lidars on the front of the car, which can cover a 300-degree view of the whole body, greatly beneficial for self-driving.

Together with Intelligent Vehicle Cloud Service outside the car, these five systems, more than 30 intelligent components in total, can help auto enterprises build smart cars. Besides, electric air taxi Volo2X jointly developed by Geely Technology Group and German Volocopter also drew visitor attention.

Volo 2X, powered by exchangeable batteries with a maximum payload of 160 kilograms, can take two passengers and may ease air traffic jams in the near future. Covering an area of 360,000 square meters, the exhibition has nine passenger car pavilions and two automobile technology and supply chain pavilions. A total 1,000 enterprises and over 120 auto brands will participate in the exhibit.
