Retired surgeon creates relief paintings with cans

(ECNS) -- Chen Hui, 66, a retired surgeon in Fuqing, Fujian Province, is good at carving ordinary cans into artworks.

The metal texture, paper-cut and traditional Chinese painting elements are integrated into his work, turning discarded cans into exquisite works of art.

Over the years, Chen has been dedicated to promoting the concept of environmental protection, and has produced nearly 100 artworks made with cans.

The birds, plants, calligraphy and other works in his sitting room were all carved from cans.

His concept and works have won the hearts of many admirers.

Chen hopes to share his skills with more enthusiasts.
