Restorer gives new life to hundreds of ancient paintings

(ECNS)--Wu Fuming, 61, has been restoring ancient paintings in Badashanren Memorial Hall in Jiangxi Province for nearly 40 years.

Some old paintings are worn or get mildewed because of age or limitations in conservation.

Wu's work is similar to that of a doctor: the restoration of worn paintings mimic an operation.

Some of the paintings only need a few days to restore, but others would take two years.
