(ECNS) -- Footprints of a wild Siberian tiger were spotted on the China-Russia border by border guards of Hulin Border Protection Committee of Heilongjiang Province.

They proved to be the footprints of a 1.5-meter-long female Siberian tiger cub. Its palm is about 12 cm long and 13 to 14 cm wide.

Staff at Zhenbao Island wetland found its footprints returning to Russia about one kilometer from those on the Chinese side.

In the forest far from the river, its footprints were also found parallel to those of a roe deer.
