(ECNS) -- The 22nd Harbin Ice and Snow World in Heilongjiang Province opened to visitors on Thursday.

The park has been divided into six parts and tourists can enjoy groups of famous structures from 17 countries, including Poland and Greece.

The "Belt and Road Initiative" area is the most eye-catching of all.

Harbin is the birthplace of Chinese ice- lantern art.

Harbin Ice and Snow World opened in 1999 when it represented China at a world contest.

This year's event will feature massive snow and ice landscapes.

About 10,000 people will dance to disco ahead of the New Year and an electronic music festival will be held on New Year's Eve.

Ice and snow sculptures from different countries will compete for the first prize.
