China's light-sport aircraft completes maiden flight

(ECNS)-- China's new-generation light-sport aircraft Lingyan AG50 completed its maiden flight on Aug. 26.

The aircraft landed safely after a 12 minutes of smooth flight.

Lingyan AG50 is developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China.

With a maximum takeoff weight of 650 kg and a payload of 245 kg,

Lingyan AG50 has a range of 650 km and a maximum speed of 222 kph.
