(ECNS)--Railway subgrade and bridge erection has completed on a high-speed rail track in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

The 370km-line links Mudanjiang with Jiamusi, with a designed speed of 250 km/h.

It will be China's northernmost high-speed rail and is planned to become operational in the second half of 2021.

Located in a cold high-altitude area, it is challenging both for builders and future operators.

Local temperatures can dip to minus 35 degrees Celsius in winter.
