Olympic champion Wu Dajing appointed China short track head coach

(ECNS)--Two-time Olympic gold medalist Wu Dajing has been officially named the new head coach of China’s national short track speed skating team following an open recruitment process, the Winter Sports Administration Centre of GASC announced on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old Wu, a legendary figure in Chinese short track history, competed in three Winter Olympic Games.
He claimed China's first and only gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the men's 500-meter event, and went on to lead the Chinese team to win the 2000-meter mixed relay title at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
The veteran speed skater announced his retirement from competitive racing in January this year.
