Massive explosion reported at U.S. Texas refinery

A huge pillar of smoke rose following a massive explosion Monday evening at a refinery in Port Arthur, U.S. state of Texas, local media reported.

Residents in the surrounding area are encouraged to remain indoors until further notice, keep windows and doors closed, and follow guidance from local officials, according to a FOX 26 Houston report.

No casualties have been reported so far.
