Japan suspends entry of foreign visitors to guard against Omicron variant

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida decided on Monday to suspend entry of all foreign visitors from around the world to guard against the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

The new measure will take effect from Tuesday, Kishida told reporters.
