6.2 magnitude earthquake rocks Japan near Hachinohe

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Sunday rocked the region near Hachinohe, Japan, the U.S. Geological Survey said. 

Reports indicate that the quake was detected around 9:00AM pacific time, with an epicenter 95 kilometers from Hachinohe on the northeast coast of Honshu island.
