5.8-magnitude quake hits Japan's Izu Islands -- USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Izu Islands, Japan at 0035 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 9.47 km, was initially determined to be at 30.638 degrees north latitude and 141.8599 degrees east longitude.
