Rain-induced flooding disrupts college entrance exam in Chinese county

The national college entrance examination starting Tuesday morning did not proceed as scheduled in Shexian County, east China's Anhui Province, due to severe flooding caused by torrential rains, local authorities said.

According to the county government, the flood had disrupted local transport, preventing some examinees from reaching examination venues on time.

The provincial education department is responding to the emergency situation.
